12月25日 Solstice or New Year's is the perfect time of year to think back over the successes of the past year. It can also be a time to reflect on the patterns that are holding us back from creating the life that we want. Becoming aware of these patterns can be difficult, but with some focus and intent, we can begin to see the patterns and see how to change them. One excellent way to do this is to use an exercise I call The Diorama.
We are all familiar with the three dimensional dioramas that we created as projects in elementary school. This is the type of three-dimensional image you want to imagine during this exercise.
Diorama Exercise
- First imagine the diorama space in your mind. I usually place my image in front of me, as if I was holding it and looking at it.
- Decide on the "problem" you want to work with. For example, perhaps you have problems with money, or with a particular relationship.
- Ask the issue to appear in the diorama. Allow the image to take shape without imposing what you think it should look like. Sometimes things are not really how we perceive them, and your higher mind will give you the information that you need but may not be aware of. Not all people will "see" an image. Some may be able to "feel" something in the box. Perhaps you hear sounds or tones. Be open to receiving information in whatever way is natural for you.
- Examine what appears from all sides. Rotate the diorama. Look at it from all sides, from above and below.
- Notice what you notice. This is all simply information, there is no need to judge anything you see.
- Ask yourself, "If this pattern were more useful to me in my life, what would it need to look like?"
- Allow your higher mind to lead you. Notice what you notice.
- You may be drawn to one part of what you see or feel. If so, focus on that part, and ask it to become more useful.
- Watch the change occur.
- Ask if there is anything else that needs to change. Follow your intuition. Repeat the process for changing it.
- Continue until you feel finished. You can even ask, "Am I done?" Your higher mind will signal a "yes" or a "no."
- Be patient! Listen, feel, wait for the ideas to appear!
- Now, pay attention to your life and notice what is different where that issue is concerned. You will notice the effects, and sometimes they are immediate and quite amazing!
Have fun with this exercise, and create the year you've always wanted for yourself!
Please leave comments about the results you get with this exercise! If you have questions, leave those as well.
Here's wishing you a Happy, Joyful, New Year!
12月17日 Many people understand that energy work is a simply a way to balance out energy flow in the body, but they do not always understand the truly significant clinical results that such healing work can have on a person's physical health. Other people often ask me whether the results are simply "placebo effect." Below is a wonderful excerpt from a blog that clearly shows energy work is the MOST effective modality one can use, achieving a higher percentage of clinically significant results than traditional drug therapies. Please enjoy this piece, and if it peaks your interest, visit http://alchemywisdom.com to schedule your own experience with energy work.

Energy Healing in a Nutshell
By PeaceWarriorX with much help from the internet
INTRO
Energy healing is a very widely used term for any form of healing, which balances, rejuvenates, or restores the levels of energy in the body. The principles of energy healing are rooted in the belief that in addition to biological and bio-chemical systems, the human body consists of a system of subtle energies. Most often referred to in the West as universal life energy or bio-energy it is referred to as various names among other cultures; in India it is known as prana, the Japanese know it as qi; in Hebrew it is called ruah, the Chinese refer to it as ki, in Hawaii it is referred to as mana or ti. There is nothing new about this wave of energy healing sweeping the nation as various techniques have been around for at least 6000 years.
Energy healers believe that this universal energy flows through the body in recognizable patterns. This energy extends beyond the surface of the body and creates an energy field, also known as an aura or bio-field. When an individual’s energy patterns are balanced and free flowing, a healthy life can be enjoyed. When the energy field becomes disrupted, weakened or blocked, however, the symptoms of physical and emotional damage can occur. Prolonged disturbances in an individual’s energy field can lead to chronic pain, disease and emotional disturbances.
Many mainstream health systems have employed the life energy principle within their healing methods. Well known healing techniques such as chiropractic healing, shiatsu massage, acupuncture, osteopathy, acupressure, naturopathy, reiki, touch therapy and several others, employ various forms of energy field or life force principles in the treatment and diagnosis of patients. Traditional health care providers increasingly offer these healing techniques as a compliment to orthodox medical care.
Experiments on bacteria
The medical journal Annals of Internal Medicine published a review of clinical trials concerning various types of alternative healing methods. Energy healing was found to be the most effective practice, producing statistically significant results in 65 percent of the test subjects. To put this finding into perspective, many drugs in use today fail to achieve a response rate higher than 50 percent in clinical trials.
One of the most complete studies of research showing the effectiveness of energy healing comes from psychiatrist, Dr. Daniel J. Benor. Dr. Benor surveyed all such research and studies made prior to 1990. They consisted of research performed on, cells, yeasts, bacteria, enzymes, plants, animals and humans. Of the 131 controlled experiments on spiritual, psychic, prayer or psi healing, over 50% showed statistically significant results. In 56 of the studies performed, there was less than a 1 in a 100 possibility that positive results were due to chance.

A thirteen years long series of experiments demonstrated the human ability to mentally influence biological systems regardless of distance or isolation of the subjects from all conventional and energetic influences. Many controls were implemented to rule out error or extraneous influences. Through intention, focused attention and visualization of desired outcomes, subjects were able to influence another person's "electrodermal activity, blood pressure, and muscular activity; the spatial orientation of fish; the locomotor activity of small mammals; and the rate of hemolysis of human red blood cells." The experiments have been considered laboratory analogs of mental healing. (Braud and Schlitz)

"Thinking is healthy
Because bad health seems to be generated by many bad choices over time - or so it seems to me - I believe thinking comes before health and wellness. I also believe thinking comes before feeling and actions. "
I say, this blogger has the right idea. But I would go even further and say that thinking got us into the bad choices as well. Many beliefs and stories that we tell ourselves lead us to making the kinds of choices and decisions that don't serve us well. So, to make healthier choices, we don't just need to THINK, we need to THINK DIFFERENTLY! And many of us know we want our lives to be different, but we aren't always aware of the patterns that we have that reinforce those old ways of being. In my healing arts practice, my goal is always to access the patterns that create the old behaviors, whether a client is aware of them or not, and assist the shift to the new pattern that will allow the new behaviors to emerge easily. It is fun and exciting to watch my clients change literally in front of my eyes. And they are quite surprised too at how easy it is to shift even deeply engrained patterns! So, I ask you to leave me a comment: Are you ready to change now? And if so, what is it that you want to change?
